The Mastersingers of Hamburg
AUDIO TEST 04/26 “With the limited Ceterra 70R "Black Edition," Inklang delivers a monumental statement in the high-end audio segment. The Hamburg-based manufactory masterfully combines sophisticated lifestyle design with uncompromising engineering:
- Craftsmanship: Weighing in at 37 kg, this slender tower is a true heavyweight. Eschewing standard MDF, Inklang utilizes high-density HDF, finished with five layers of silk-matte lacquer and accents of solid walnut. The crossover is housed like a vault within airtight chambers.
- Bass: Thanks to the massive construction and aluminum membranes, the low-end is extremely contoured and stable. The Ceterra impresses with its dynamic "joy of stroke," delivering a powerful wall of sound that defies its graceful appearance.
- Midrange: The innovative 3 ½-way construction ensures uncritical dispersion. Vocals are rendered with fascinating presence and spatial depth—tailored for real-world living rooms rather than sterile studio environments.
- Treble: The exclusive Scan-Speak ring radiator reaches up to 40 kHz. It offers surgical precision and illuminates recording spaces with fine detail, without ever sounding analytically cold.
Via jumpers on the terminal, the midrange and treble can be perfectly tuned to the home acoustics. A true collector's item—only 30 pairs of this Hanseatic masterpiece exist worldwide.”
